OH-58C Sun Gear Mesh Groups (Degrees) Tests were conducted on the OH-58 500HP transmission test rig located at NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) in Cleveland, Ohio. Vibration, acoustic, and oil debris infor-mation was measured using nine accelerometers, .ve mi-crophones, and an oil debris monitor. Four of the nine ac-celerometers were used on the input and output torsional acceleration adapters to be used to measure aggregate trans-mission error. The remaining .ve accelerometers were mounted to the transmission housing at several locations. Data from the .ve accelerometers is presented in this paper. Table 5. Test Matrix The OH-58 is a single-engine, land-based light observa-tion helicopter. It is a 2 two-stage reduction gearboxes con-sisting of a bevel stage and a planetary stage with an overall reduction of 17.44:1. The bevel stage consists of a 19-tooth spiral bevel pinion meshing with a 71-tooth gear. The bevel gear is splined to the 27-tooth sun gear which is the input to the second stage. The sun gear drives 4 35-tooth planets against a 99-tooth ring gear, which is splined to the trans-mission housing. The carrier is splined to the mast output shaft which powers the helicopter’s main rotor. 直升机网 www.helicopter.cn 直升机翻译 www.aviation.cn 本文链接地址:Sun Gear Fault Detection on an OH-58C Helicopter Transmission(24) |
